Bar design in Tilburg. The client's request was to create a modern brown pub with a warm, inviting atmosphere. We experimented with materials such as burnt plywood to add texture and depth. To achieve this, we made clever design choices, like staining the tabletop in two colors instead of using two types of wood, which enhanced the aesthetic while keeping things simple.
The concept for the bar evolved into "De Bonte Bistro", a vibrant, eclectic mix of elements that created both comfort and character.
Additionally, we designed two locations, each with its own unique style but complementary to one another—like brother and sister—creating a cohesive but varied experience across both spaces.
